Visual Identity + Website Design & Development

Destination88

Destination88 is a premium leadership travel company based in Quezon City, Philippines. They design transformative travel experiences for senior leaders, CEO-founders, family business successors, and culture-driven people leaders: corporate retreats, strategy offsites, incentive travel, and executive wellness escapes across the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region. A member of the Global Business Travel Association and accredited by the Philippine Department of Tourism.

Background

Destination88 already had a brand when they came to Le Marka: a registered logo, an established name, and a growing client base. But as the team expanded and more designers touched the brand, the visual language started to drift. Different shades of red. Different gold tones. Different font choices. Nothing catastrophically wrong, but nothing unified either. The brand looked inconsistent across touchpoints and there were no guidelines to prevent it from getting worse.

The brief was to standardize the brand: lock down the color system, typography, imagery, and spacing into a single set of rules, and build a website that matched the premium positioning they were building toward.

The Problem

The brand existed.
The system didn't.

Destination88 already had a brand when they came to Le Marka. The logo existed. The name was established. The positioning, Transformative Travel for Leaders, was already defined.

But the brand wasn't holding together.

As the business grew, different designers touched different parts of the identity. Each one made their own choices: slightly different shades of red, different gold tones, different font pairings. No single decision was catastrophically wrong. But the accumulation of small inconsistencies created a brand that felt uneven. The vibes were off. Nothing was unified. And for a company positioning itself as a premium leadership travel partner for CEOs and senior executives, that inconsistency was quietly undermining the credibility they were trying to build.

There was no system to reference. No guidelines to follow. No codified rules that said: this is the exact red, this is the exact gold, this is the exact typeface. Every designer who touched the brand was making judgment calls, and judgment calls without a system produce drift.

Before
Judgment Calls
No system, no guidelines. Each designer made their own choices, and the brand drifted further with every touchpoint.
After
One Visual Language
Codified color, typography, imagery, and spacing. Every designer works from the same foundation, no drift, no judgment calls.
The Decision

Build the system around the mark.

The logo was IPO-registered and untouchable, and rightly so. The mark itself wasn't the problem. The problem was the absence of a system around it.

We started with color. Destination88's identity is built on red and gold, a combination that carries authority, prestige, and energy. But red and gold exist in hundreds of variations. The wrong shade of red reads aggressive. The wrong gold reads cheap. We locked down the exact hex codes: the specific red and the specific gold that carried the weight the brand needed without tipping into either extreme.

We then standardized the typography. Font choices were documented and codified: specific typefaces for specific uses, with clear rules for hierarchy, weight, and application across digital and print contexts.

Imagery guidelines were defined to ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints: the style of photography, the tone of visuals, and how images should feel alongside the red and gold palette. Not every image works with every brand. These rules made sure the wrong ones never got used.

Spacing rules were established as well. White space is not emptiness. It is breathing room that signals confidence and clarity. Every brand element was given defined space around it, preventing the cramped, cluttered layouts that erode a premium brand's authority.

The deliverables were a complete brand standards document covering color, typography, imagery, and spacing, and a website built on the new unified system, designed and developed on Wix, structured to reflect the premium positioning of a company serving executive-level clients across the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Result

Every designer. Same foundation.
No drift.

Destination88 now operates from a single visual language.

Every designer who touches the brand works from the same foundation: the same red, the same gold, the same typefaces, the same rules. The inconsistency that was quietly eroding the brand's authority has a system to prevent it from recurring.

The website launched as the primary digital platform for the brand, presenting their Transformative Travel for Leaders positioning to CEO-founders, family business leaders, senior executives, and culture-driven people leaders across the Philippines and beyond.

The System

OneStandard.

A brand standards document isn't a constraint. It's the floor that every execution stands on. Without it, every new designer restarts from zero. With it, the brand compounds.

Color
Red & Gold, locked to exact hex codes
The wrong red reads aggressive. The wrong gold reads cheap. We locked the exact values so the palette always carries authority, never tips into either extreme.
Type
Codified for hierarchy and application
Specific typefaces for specific uses, with clear rules for weight and hierarchy across digital and print. No more judgment calls on font pairings.
Imagery
Style and tone defined for all touchpoints
Not every image works with every brand. Guidelines define the style of photography and the visual tone so the wrong ones never get used.
Space
White space as a signal of confidence
Every brand element given defined breathing room. Cramped layouts erode premium positioning. Spacing rules prevent it.

The logo wasn't the problem. It never is, in cases like this. The problem is what happens around the logo when there are no rules. Every designer fills the vacuum with their own judgment. Multiply that across two years and a dozen touchpoints and you get a brand that nobody broke but nobody can quite trust either. Building the system isn't glamorous work. But it's the work that makes everything else hold.
