Le Marka Studio
Le Marka Studio is a brand identity and web design studio based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines. Founded in 2024 by Mark Anthony Valencia and Leo Jeremiah Vicente, the studio was built to solve one specific problem: established businesses whose quality and expertise have outgrown their branding.
BackgroundBefore Le Marka existed, there was Valencia Mark Design, a freelance design practice built around one person's name. The logo was solid. The work was good. But the name had a ceiling. You can't build a studio under a surname without every decision pointing back to one person. You can't position yourself as institutional when the brand says otherwise.
The brief was the studio itself. Build a name, build an identity, and build a website that positions Le Marka as a proper studio: one with a methodology, a clear market, and a reason to exist beyond "we do design."
The ProblemThe brand was good.
The name was the problem.
Before Le Marka Studio existed, there was Valencia Mark Design.
The logo was good. The brand system was solid. It had personality and it worked on its own. But the name told a very specific story: one designer, one person, one name on the door. And that was exactly the problem.
Mark had built something beyond a freelance practice. He had 10 years of UI/UX experience, a growing client roster, and a clear point of view on what good branding should do for a business. The ambition wasn't to stay a one-man operation. It was to build a studio: a team of designers who could push the work further, serve bigger clients, and operate as an institution rather than an individual.
Valencia Mark Design couldn't carry that. Not because of the logo. Because of the name. Valencia Mark Design was built around one person. Le Marka was built for more than that.
The brand had outgrown the identity. It was time to build something that could scale.
A name built from the people who built it.
The first decision was the name.
Le Marka is built from two deliberate parts. "Marka" is the Spanish and Filipino word for brand: direct, unambiguous, and rooted in the local market the studio serves. "Le" is the French masculine article for "the", making Le Marka literally "The Brand" in French. It carries the aesthetic of European editorial design, clean and minimal, aligned with the Swiss direction the studio commits to.
But the name is also personal. Leo is the studio's co-founder and financier. Remove the "o" and you have "Le", his initial embedded quietly at the front of the name. Mark is the founder and creative director. "Marka" carries his name forward. The studio's identity is literally built from the people who built it.
Le Marka. The Brand. Two founders. One name.
The visual identity followed the same logic. Swiss-influenced. Clean grid. High contrast. Institutional in its restraint. No decorative elements, no trend-chasing. The mark needed to work at the top of a proposal, on a business card, on a website, and on signage, all without losing authority. A system, not a style.
The studio was formally incorporated in November 2024, making the transition from freelancer to studio not just a rebrand but a legal and structural commitment to the direction.
The ResultA freelancer became a studio.
A name became a brand.
Le Marka Studio launched publicly in early 2025 with a positioning built around a specific problem: visual liability.
Established businesses whose high-end offerings had outgrown their DIY branding: construction material suppliers, real estate advisors, aesthetic clinics, law firms, luxury retail, whose credibility was being quietly eroded by the gap between what they delivered and how they presented themselves.
The studio's first major client project, Luxearia PH, launched in March 2026: a complete brand and website for a senior property advisor serving CEO-level buyers across Filinvest and Filigree developments. A case study that demonstrates exactly what Le Marka was built to do.
The rebrand wasn't cosmetic. It was structural. A freelancer became a studio. A name became a brand. A point of view became a positioning.
